another from omg.ftp:
"as britney spears confused herself through a vma lipsynch performance, i humbly invoked some dark spirits and, much like clapping when one believes in fairies, convinced myself that i was missing a comeback by failing to have basic cable.
here is the result of that difficult night, a song that i'm sure lots of people are totally going to feel."

so last week dan and i met up in asheville and eventually made our way through charleston and savannah and finally a last ditch drive to jacksonville after an hour's sleep in a crazy old man from upstate new york's pensione. savannah felt underground when we got there- it was thick and hot and there was a dense cover of what may or may not have been either clouds or earth.. it was all very gothic and we made friends who invited us back to their house and kept us up all night.
here's a video i made of my friend from asheville with omg.ftp's "so hot right now".

i hung out with the kids i went to high school. they have all either finished grad school, are getting their second masters or entering law school, all at ivies. it was depressing enough but we drank fuckloads of wine and called into the local radio station about 6 times and got on the air three of them.. . i told him i had no idea where i was when the mc asked, which was true, and they give me a 'boing' sound effect when it was broadcast to make me sound extra drunk. (they tape these call in conversations first, so they can add 'boing' sound effects.) my gay friend got 'girl you really got me down' on because his girlfriend had just broken up, he explained to the mc, whose name was ron. i didn't mention my shoe box record label.
Anyway, here is one from omg.ftp to cheer us all up.
"my grandfather seemed sad today.
then i got home and wrote this and called it get up grow up because i was whistling bob marley all day and occasionally thinking about my life as a deliberate suspension of being a responsible adult. right. welcome to ny."
get up, grow up

Gnossiennes K is having a prolific month. Here's another by our main man:
"dog sat for a week so i just got back to my computer today. i am terrified by the happy music i make. here is a piece very quietly / quickly done by mashing two long improv tracks. "
war is over, it's baby time
[UPDATE: Gnossiennes has since changed the name of this one to "Country House".]

here's a track from Gnossiennes K
"sometimes i like cutting up (roughly) a short experimental thing into its best of four bars or so so it sounds like a "fractured" pop song that never figured out where it put the chorus..
this song mainly has to do with sink cockroaches, the worst breed next to toothbrush cockroaches, but i wont post a song about that.
my cockroach days
